Summer is coming up faster than a snow cone on a hot sidewalk! If you’re on the hunt for summer break ideas, City of Surrey’s Recreation Surrey is your headquarters for summer fun and adventure!
With over 50 full-day, half-day or 2-hour camps across the city to choose from, you’re bound to find something that your summer busybodies will enjoy!
From exploring with the senses through themed programs involving nature, cooking and building, to sports camps, STEM camps and even mixed media and theatrical camps, there’s a camp to suit a wide variety of interests. All camps are led by highly trained camp leaders, including one-to-one support offered (by request) for children with disabilities. All camp staff is trained in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, ensuring the best possible environment for your child to grow, develop and thrive through play.
And while the kids are on vacation, it doesn’t necessarily mean the parents are. Designed with working parents in mind, the City of Surrey’s Camp Connections offers extended hours before camps between 7am – 9am and after camps between 3pm – 6pm. Kids will enjoy interactive fun led by qualified day camp leaders with sports, games, crafts, arts, cooking and more! Call 604-501-5100 to find a Camp Connection that works for you.
Online registration opens on April 14 at 9pm and continues until camps fill up. Make sure to mark your calendars so your kids don’t miss out! And with their easy payment program, you don’t have to worry about paying the full amount right away – just pay 50% of the program total at registration and the remaining balance on the first day of camp!
The City of Surrey has day camps located across the city at 30 different locations. Make sure to check out surrey.ca/daycamps for detailed program information and costs.
