Summer is just around the corner. And while usually parents usually limit their kids video game and YouTube watching during summer vacation, we think there might be a better way to channel their screen time into something educational and career-building!

Since 2015, Level Up has introduced close to 10,000 students to computer programming. They engage students in supplemental Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, giving them the skills and motivation they need to succeed in life.

Level Up has a variety of camps available for your “techies in training,” depending on their interests. If you have a Minecraft Miner in your home, maybe the Video Game Designer, Minecraft, or Roblox Gamemaking camps would be up their alley.

If you’re kid prefers to be behind the screen rather than in front of it, check out the YouTube Filmaking class or the Claymation camp. And their Coding Girls camp is aimed for your tech-savvy daughter, who will be introduced to the coding world, which will include games, apps and even robotics!

Students will also get to take home the project that they worked on, so they can show it off to you, too! For example, kids in the Robotics camp will build, program and keep their own Arduino Controlled Robot.

And don’t worry – they won’t be inside all day. There will be times during the day that they will go outside to run around and enjoy the summer sunshine, too!

Level Up is excited to be offering these camps for computer-loving kids aged 7 to 16 years old at both their Surrey and Burnaby locations. For more information, visit levelupkids.ca.
