Calling all stargazers: The Space Centre, one of Vancouver’s experts for Holiday Break fun, will be celebrating the season with family activities and special programming from December 26th to January 7th.
Come celebrate the latest Canadian to go to the International Space Station by learning about David Saint-Jacques mission! Live science demonstrations will show how David will be living on the space station, how he eats, and where he sleeps. You’ll even get to learn what experiments he’ll be doing in micro-gravity! Kids will be able to create their own mission patch just like David did, and make mini astronaut figurines that they can take home.
In addition to these great activities, you and your family can enjoy the fabulous fun the Space Centre offers year-round. Take in a show at the Planetarium Star Theatre, enjoy interactive fun at the Cosmic Courtyard, or learn what it’s like to be a real astronaut at the GroundStation Canada Theatre.
The Space Centre is extending their hours over the holiday break, so you can jam in as much space-fun as possible! They are open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, December 26, 2018, to January 7, 2019.
