New Westminster Ribfest

It’s time for the 1st annual New Westminster Ribfest at Westminster Pier Park from September 14-16, 2018. It’s going to be an amazing weekend with the best in slow-cooked ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork. In addition to an amazing BBQ experience, Ribfest will feature a best rack competition, fresh lemonade, mini donuts, ice cream, live music, beer garden and more.
Pirate Weekend at the Cannery
Saturday, September 15th – Sunday, September 16th, 10 am – 5 pm, Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, 12138 Fourth Avenue, Richmond
Pirates (the friendly kind!) invade the Cannery on September 15 & 16, from 12 to 4 pm, in celebration of Talk Like a Pirate Day! The Shady Isle Pirates will set up a pirate encampment inside the historic cannery, with lots of games and swashbuckling fun for the entire family to enjoy. Wear your best pirate gear, or try some from their collection, and be sure to brush up on your pirate-speak before you dare to enter the pirate zone! Admission for Youth (17 years & under) is free (must be accompanied by an Adult).
Fire Hall No. 1 Grand Opening Celebration

2018 UBC Farm Fall Fair

September Westminster Savings Family Day at the Evergreen Cultural Centre

Create a tiny home in the shape of a takeaway container. Get creative in decorating the exterior of your new abode. When finished, assemble the box and place an object, note or poem inside that reminds you of your home. Carry it wherever you go!

Terry Fox Run

Every year Terry Fox Runs are held in over 9000 communities across Canada with the goal of raising funds for cancer research. We work directly with The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI – the research arm of the Terry Fox Foundation) striving for the best outcomes for cancer patients. Find a run in your neighbourhood and join in for a good cause!
Southlands Country Fair

The Southlands Country Fair is a community event focused on horses and rural lifestyle within the city of Vancouver.
